Hyaluronic acid dermal filler is a ‘cosmetic’ dermal filler made of clear gel containing non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid and is a natural substance that already exists in the human body used to provide volume and fullness to the skin. All treatments are temporary and can last between 6 and 9 months, when a repeated treatment will be necessary. The best results occur over time with recurring treatments.

Creating Lip Definition
We create lip definition by injecting hyaluronic acid into the tissue around the lips. This area is known as the vermillion border, a little tube that runs around the lips. The procedure creates more definition and plumps up the lips to enhance the cupid’s bow. We achieve volume for the lips by injecting filler into the red part of the lip to give a plumping effect. For those who wish to have more of a pout, a larger volume of filler will be injected.

Smoothing Peri-Oral Lines
The lines extending from our mouths, where lipstick bleeds, commonly known as smoker’s lines can be treated effectively by a combination of lip definition enhancement (see above) combined with injecting small amounts of filler into each line. Alternatively, lip enhancement can be combined with other anti-wrinkle treatments.

Reducing Nose to Mouth Lines
Known as nasolabial folds, the lines that run from the nose to the corner of the mouth tend to be accentuated by the loss of supporting tissues in the skin. We recommend the use of dermal fillers to produce volume under the folds, which smooths out their appearance.

Smoothing Marionette Lines
Like nose to mouth lines, the marionette lines that run from the corners of the mouth down to the chin also appear more extreme as supporting tissues in the skin weaken with age. Dermal fillers can be used to plump out the lines, providing the support that will make them less apparent.
The Procedure
Between your consultation and your treatment, your skin will be cleaned and anaesthetic applied. We will explain the injection procedure and product choice, confirming the areas to be treated and what we are going to do.
These carefully selected non-surgical aesthetic treatments are minimally invasive and will therefore cause you little discomfort. Dermal fillers provide subtle but incremental improvements to the quality, look and feel of your skin.
Each treatment will take between 15 and 40 minutes – but there is no downtime and you can return to your active life immediately after the procedure.
